About your tutor

Catherine Eland is the founder of SFTA and an experienced lecturer with SFTA Hypnotherapy Training. With over 15 years of clinical and lecturing experience, she is also an NCH supervisor in Solution Focused Hypnotherapy and neuroscience informed practice. She supports over 50 supervisees nationwide, offering guidance, professional oversight, and steady clinical support. She specialises in translating complex neurophysiology into clear, usable therapeutic protocols. No jargon for the sake of it, just science explained properly and applied ethically.

Her training style combines depth with practicality, so participants leave not only understanding the theory, but feeling confident enough to use it the very next day.

Brief description of course

  • What if you could confidently deliver a structured protocol that reduces chronic discomfort in minutes
  • What if you understood the exact neurological mechanisms behind rapid pain modulation
  • What if your clients left their very first session experiencing measurable relief and renewed hope

Chronic pain does not just affect the body. It affects mood, sleep, confidence, identity and hope. Many clients living with ongoing discomfort begin to withdraw from activities they once enjoyed. They may feel misunderstood, frustrated or exhausted from constantly managing symptoms. Over time, pain can narrow their world, increase anxiety and low mood, and reduce their sense of control. Supporting pain modulation is not simply about reducing sensation. It is about restoring agency, improving quality of life and helping clients reconnect with who they are beyond their symptoms.

Why we need to offer hypnoesitherapy

In the UK nearly one in every two adults lives with some degree of chronic pain — that equates to just under 28 million people experiencing ongoing discomfort lasting three months or more. This includes millions whose pain significantly limits daily activities. By comparison, there are only around 300 recognised pain clinics operating within the NHS, most based in hospitals with multidisciplinary teams. This imbalance highlights the gap between the vast number of people in pain and the limited number of specialised services available to support them. There is a need for broader access to effective pain modulation skills across clinical and allied health professions.

This is a unique opportunity to train in the Hypnoesitherapy Technique. This CPD introduces Hypnoesitherapy as a clear, structured protocol inspired by the work of Ángel Escudero and integrated with modern clinical hypnosis and current neuroscience.

When delivered with skill and confidence, the protocol can support a measurable reduction in chronic discomfort, often within as little as 7.5 minutes.

Why this training is different

No other provider currently teaches this structured hypnoesitherapy protocol in a clinically grounded, ethically framed CPD format.

This structured, step-by-step neurological approach is designed to support fast pain reduction, often producing noticeable relief straight away or within 48 hours.

By the end of the course, you will have:

  • A structured, clinically grounded hypnoesitherapy protocol for chronic pain
  • Confidence in applying a neuroscience informed approach to discomfort modulation
  • Practical tools you can integrate immediately into client sessions
  • A clear screening and safety framework for medically diagnosed chronic conditions
  • A step-by-step saliva safety signal method to support rapid parasympathetic activation
  • 3 hours accredited CPD
  • A comprehensive practitioner handbook and certificate of attendance

This training is practical, applied and designed for immediate clinical use.
