What is covered on the syllabus?
The Advanced Diploma in Hypnotherapy covers a comprehensive range of theoretical and practical components to equip students with a deep understanding of client-centred therapy and professional development. Core elements include behavioural change theories, such as the HAPA model and SMART goal-setting, the impact of therapeutic relationships, and how resistance and suggestion influence client progress.
Emphasis is placed on handling complex client interactions through advanced questioning techniques, responding to difficult inquiries, and maintaining an ethical framework informed by critical thinking, research methodologies, and an understanding of power dynamics.
The course also delves into specialized therapeutic approaches such as Positive Psychology, NLP techniques like peripheral vision relaxation.
Students learn to adapt methods for diverse client presentations, including neurodiverse individuals, clients from the LGBTQ+ community, and those dealing with sensitive issues such as self-harm. Reflective practice, peer group facilitation, and advanced marketing strategies encourage professional development.
Ethical considerations, research design, and statistical analysis are integrated to ensure graduates are well-prepared to conduct evidence-based practice and contribute meaningfully to the hypnotherapy field.
What you’ll gain
You’ll earn the AdvDipH—the Advanced Diploma in Hypnotherapy when you complete the course. This qualification shows clients and colleagues you’ve developed expertise beyond foundational practice.
